ActiveCampaign prices at every contact tier
These are all 11 contact tiers in the selector on ActiveCampaign’s pricing page, for all four email plans. Each cell shows the monthly price / the per-month price billed yearly. The page itself displays the billed-yearly figures; we checked every one of them against the price data the page loads, which also holds the monthly prices.

USD, from ActiveCampaign’s pricing page, checked October 7, 2026. Billed-yearly prices are the figures shown on the page at each contact option; monthly prices are from the price data the page loads (its live price service and its public fallback price file gave identical figures for all four email plans at every tier above). Above 50,000 contacts the page shows “Talk to Sales”. The page also offers BRL, CAD, AUD, EUR and GBP.

What the table tells you
- Yearly billing saves about 17–22%. ActiveCampaign doesn’t publish a percentage, but by our arithmetic paying yearly saves $48 a year on Starter at 1,000 contacts ($228 vs $180), $120 on Plus ($708 vs $588) and $240 on Pro ($1,188 vs $948).
- Starter stops making sense near its cap. At 25,000 contacts, Plus costs $389 a month billed yearly against Starter’s $391, and both are $489 on monthly billing, so Plus gives you more for the same money there.
- The jump from Starter to Plus shrinks as you grow. It’s $34 a month billed yearly at 1,000 contacts ($15 vs $49) and $40 at 10,000 ($149 vs $189), by our arithmetic.
What each plan adds, and your monthly send limit
From the plan cards and compare table on the pricing page and the plans overview in the help center:
| Starter | Plus | Pro | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly email sends | 10× contact limit | 10× | 12× | 15× |
| Sends at 5,000 contacts (by our arithmetic) | 50,000 | 50,000 | 60,000 | 75,000 |
| Users included | 1 (1 more can be bought) | 1 | 3 | 5 |
| Automation | 5 actions per automation | Unlimited actions | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Segmentation | Limited | Standard | Advanced | Premium |
| Landing pages | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Key extras | Email designer and forms, site tracking, Shopify, WooCommerce and Square | PayPal and Stripe, coupons, custom user permissions, can buy any add-on | Conditional content, predictive sending, attribution, priority support | Custom reporting, SSO, premium CRM integrations, dedicated team |
Send limits apply to direct and automated campaigns, not 1:1 or transactional emails, and they reset monthly on your billing-cycle day, according to the help center’s send-limit article.
Add-ons cost extra
ActiveCampaign sells several add-ons on top of a plan: Pipelines and Sales Engagement (the “enhanced CRM” add-ons with deals, pipelines and lead scoring, on Plus and up), SMS (Plus and up), Custom Reports (Plus and Pro; included on Enterprise), Transactional Email (all plans, powered by Postmark) and extra user seats. The pricing page marks them as “Available add-on” but doesn’t show their prices, so check the cost in your account before you buy one. If you need deals and pipelines, budget for Plus plus an add-on rather than Plus alone.
How ActiveCampaign counts contacts (and why it matters for price)
Your tier is set by your contact count, and the help center says the rule depends on when you opened the account:
- Accounts created on or after November 3, 2025: every contact counts, whatever its status (active, unconfirmed, unsubscribed or bounced).
- Accounts created on or before November 2, 2025: only active contacts count.
Example, by our arithmetic: a new account with 950 active subscribers and 100 unsubscribed contacts counts 1,050, which needs the 2,500-contact tier. On Plus that’s $95 a month billed yearly instead of $49, unless you delete the unsubscribed contacts.
When you reach your limit, you can still create campaigns but can’t send them until you upgrade, and automations skip their “Send an email” steps. Your limit only rises automatically if you turn on auto-upgrade (help center: reaching your contact limit).
Overage fees and the send shutoff
If you send more than your monthly limit and don’t raise it, ActiveCampaign charges $0.005 per email send. Its help center adds that “if the overage value of sends reaches three times your limit, email sending functionality is turned off until next month.” You can buy a higher send limit instead, prorated on your bill.
Example, by our arithmetic: Plus at 1,000 contacts includes 10,000 sends a month. Sending 12,000 in a month means 2,000 extra sends, or $10 in overage.
Free trial, money-back guarantee and discounts
- 14-day free trial: no credit card, Professional-plan features, 1 user and up to 100 email sends. ActiveCampaign’s pages disagree on contacts: its FAQ says up to 100, while its help center (updated July 7, 2026) says as many as you need. Start the 14-day trial (affiliate link).
- 30-day money-back guarantee: a full refund of subscription fees if you cancel within the first 30 days of your first paid subscription. The terms exclude current or former paid customers, SMS and WhatsApp credits and one-time purchases, and ActiveCampaign can end the offer at any time.
- Yearly billing: about 17–22% less than monthly, by our arithmetic (see above).
- Nonprofits: 20% off, applied once you show proof of nonprofit status (help center: non-profit discount). By our arithmetic, that takes Plus at 1,000 contacts from $59 to $47.20 a month. The article doesn’t say whether it combines with yearly billing.
- Starter is for new customers only. The help center notes that existing customers don’t qualify for it.
- No setup costs or hidden fees, according to the pricing page FAQ.
ActiveCampaign vs MailerLite on price
If you don’t need a CRM or deep branching automation, MailerLite is the cheaper choice for most creators. ActiveCampaign Starter is slightly cheaper than MailerLite Comfort at 1,000 contacts on yearly billing, but Comfort costs less from 2,500 up. Comfort also includes landing pages and paid newsletters, which Starter doesn’t, and its automations aren’t capped at 5 actions:
| Contacts / subscribers | ActiveCampaign Starter | ActiveCampaign Plus | MailerLite Comfort |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $19 / $15 | $59 / $49 | $19 / $17.10 |
| 2,500 | $49 / $39 | $119 / $95 | $33 / $29.70 |
| 5,000 | $99 / $79 | $179 / $145 | $49 / $44.10 |
| 10,000 | $189 / $149 | $239 / $189 | $89 / $80.10 |
Monthly / per-month billed yearly. ActiveCampaign from its pricing page; MailerLite from mailerlite.com/pricing. Both checked October 7, 2026. MailerLite tiers are “up to” that many active subscribers, and it doesn’t count unsubscribed contacts.
ActiveCampaign earns its higher price with unlimited automation actions on Plus, CRM add-ons, site messages and, on Pro, predictive sending and revenue attribution. If you won’t use those, MailerLite also has a free plan for up to 250 subscribers. Which ActiveCampaign plan should you pick?
- Starter if you’re new to ActiveCampaign, have under 25,000 contacts and only need simple automations of up to 5 actions with no landing pages. Above about 20,000 contacts, compare it with Plus first.
- Plus if you sell courses or products and want unlimited automation actions, landing pages and the Stripe or PayPal integrations. It’s also the minimum plan for the CRM add-ons.
- Pro if you need 3 users, advanced segmentation, conditional content, predictive sending or revenue attribution.
- Enterprise if you need SSO, custom reporting, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, or a dedicated team.
- Pay yearly once you’re confident in the tool; start with the trial, and remember the money-back guarantee covers your first paid subscription.
